First, it was little things that grossed me out, but were acceptable in a way:
- Putting away forks that had dried pasta sauce on them, because they hadn’t been rinsed before being put in the dishwasher. (okay, it’s clean pasta sauce, sure.)
- Dropping Tupperware lids on the floor, shaking them off, and then putting them back up in the bin with all the clean ones (okay, I guess that’s not really dirty…)
Then it progressed to a new level:
- Oh hey, I put this bowl on the counter 3 days ago. It’s now got some crumbs and dust and random stuff in it from sitting out, but hey, it was never used! I’ll just put it back in here with all the other clean dishes. Cool.
- I swished some soap and water around in this pan. It doesn’t matter that there’s still a bit of dried egg stuck in it, does it? Let me just toss that back in with the other pans.
But this past week? Seriously?
- Sure I cut up my cucumber/onion/random food item with this knife. Whatever. I don’t feel like washing it. It’s just a knife. Let’s just stick it back in the knife block. Haha, screw that. Use ALL the knives! Make sure they have lots of dried vegetable juice and stuff covering them. Stick them ALL back in the knife block! Muahahaha. Who cleans knives?
- Sweet, I made cupcakes! They’re all delicious and stuff. It doesn’t matter that I spilled batter all over the cupcake pan, right? I mean you don’t eat off the cupcake pan. Let’s just stick it in the cupboard. It doesn’t need cleaned. I’m sure someone will find it in a month who wants to use it in its dirty state. Duh.
I am terrified of what I will find next >.<
