rawr. mrowr. hi. (:
I am a dreamer. I'm highly addicted to music and cuddling, and these are some of the thoughts in my head...

Just Like Heaven= cutest movie ever. I’m in love. New favorite. I mean come on, who can’t love a movie that uses a Cure song to start and end?

Woo! Applied for a summer job. Part of the application was a timed 10-minute quiz thing that made me feel like I was in high school taking the PSSA’s again. Included were math problems (ex: 8, 24, 18, 3, 9. What number comes next?), word association problems (ex: Pick the first letter of the word that means an area where sheep and goats graze: C, E, F, M), analogies (ex: book is to chapter as organization is to ___), etc. I’m applying to be a cashier. When is a customer going to ask me where sheep and goats graze? Seriously? I can understand some of the math problems, but I was still a little confused by the quiz. Ah, well, we’ll see what happens.

I have all these craft-y things I keep wanting to do, but all my supplies are at home, and I refuse to buy new stuff (like needles or pliers and things) since I have them at home already. Sigh.

I’ve also been listening to Imagine Dragon’s Continued Silence EP on repeat since this morning. Not sure why, but today feels like a good day. Nice change from last night (:

Impulse Decisions

are often the best. I keep repeating this, but it’s true.

Today, I was walking home after work, and decided to stop by the Creamery. They have these little tiny 4 oz. cups of ice cream, which are just enough to make me happy with deliciousness, and not quite enough to make me vomit from all the milk. My little cup of fudge ripple and I then went up to the top of the East Parking Deck, where I haven’t been since my first week back to University Park in January. The sight of the mountains from up there still takes my breath away. You look in any direction, and you can see mountains surrounding all of State College from that parking deck. It’s beautiful. Being down below, walking around campus, or downtown, sometimes it’s hard to see what surrounds you. At the top of East Parking Deck, it’s usually empty. A beautiful, quiet place to sort through your thoughts and soak in the view.

Today:

 • Finished catching up on Switched at Birth (I was 8 episodes behind; I caught up in 2 days. whoops.)
 • Found out the new season doesn’t start until September. grrrr.
 • Found out that Fox cancelled Terra Nova, which made me sad, because I really liked it, it reminded me of LOST, and it was one thing that my dad and I shared.
 • Finally decided to stick to my final decision about something that’s been screwing with my mind for months.
 • Listened to Brand New—The Devil and God are Raging (twice) and Daisy (once).
 • Listened to Barcelona’s new album.
 • Made pasta and this sweet potato dish that my mom and I usually make at Thanksgiving, for dinner.
 • Waiting for a letter from a good friend. Hoping it didn’t get lost in the mail. :/

Already bored, and it’s only 3:30. This is a bad sign. I’m actually upset that our professor let us out an hour early >.<

damnit. I should know better than to look up pics of one of my favorite shows on tumblr, when I’m 6 episodes behind. grrrrrrrr spoilers, you’re killing me. I was just squeeing, and now I’ve gone and ruined it. Sigh.

I’m a cat! (aka “look at my crazy blue nails!” aka “this is probably one of the ugliest faces I could possibly make. whoops.”)

I really enjoyed this film, it moved very well, and didn’t drag. There was one scene that did feel out of place, but that was mostly because the son was written to be such a little shit. The whole cast was fantastic. I really liked Richard Jenkins, Jeremy Renner and Frances McDormand. It was a very interesting topic and I thought was handled very well.

This was a very moving film. To know it’s based off a true story, to know what those women went through, is a terrible thing. It’s incredible what those women managed to accomplish.
