rawr. mrowr. hi. (:
I am a dreamer. I'm highly addicted to music and cuddling, and these are some of the thoughts in my head...

…considering going to bed, now, at 11:30, because I am literally so bored that sleeping sounds like my most exciting option.  This has never happened before.  Then, again, I’ve never been alone for so long before.  I’m having trouble finding new things in my apartment to clean.  There’s only so much movie/tv-watching I can do in one day.  I’ve read.  Quite a bit.  But the lighting in here sucks, and the last bulb in the main lamp in the room finally admitted defeat, today, so I’m basically working with 2 small lamps.  I went to curl up on the couch in the living room for a different setting, only to realize that the lamp out there must have belonged to one of the roommates, because it’s gone.  So no light in there.  Even the internet is boring me.

Goals for tomorrow:

  1. BUY LIGHTBULBS.
  2. FIND SOMETHING NEW TO CLEAN.
  3. Make something?
  4. Geocache?
I will. Promise.

I will. Promise.

Goals 2012

Resolutions are basically glorified goals, and this year I’ve created 12 Resolutions (though I may add more if I think of them by the end of the month).  I debated whether I’d share them with tumblr or not, but I’ve come to the conclusion that a) few people read my written posts anyway, and b) my resolutions might spur new ideas for those who do read my written posts.  So without further ado:

  1. Accomplish at least 1 thing from my bucket list.
  2. Stay positive.  Be as happy as possible.
  3. Work enough to pay my rent. (And preferably still have money to buy food with…)
  4. Achieve at least B+’s in all my classes
  5. Skip no more than 6 classes during Spring 2011 (Fall 2011 will be based on how many classes/credits I’m taking; for example, I’m taking 18 credits/6 classes this semester, but 3 of those classes are online.)
  6. Go to at least 3 shows.
  7. Work on a plan for the future.
  8. Continue geocaching; have 150 caches by the end of 2012.
  9. Better waking up habits.
  10. Volunteer for something.
  11. Take more time for my hobbies and nature.
  12. Be proud of myself and who I am.

goal for the week?

or rather, the year?

6 Days until Christmas!

I can’t believe it.  It really doesn’t feel like Christmas.  If anything my spirit has gone down in the past week.  Either way, there is now a Christmas tree in my house, which is nice.  This week’s goal is focused on Christmas again (apologies!).  Basically goal 42 is to relax, and also to try and amp up the Christmas spirit: more time spent with my mom, some Christmas baking, lots and lots of Christmas music, and maybe some sappy Hallmark Christmas movies.  (And of course A Charlie Brown Christmas!)

Apologies to those who are still avoiding it,

but Christmas is less than 2 weeks away.  (Which also means that there’s less than a month before I move back to State College!  Time is flying.)  My goals have also gone from being what I meant them to be—ways to look at life in new ways, get closer to people and to nature, break patterns, and live more fully—to something like optimistic to-do lists.  So, this week is going to be a combination package of the two.  Seeing as Christmas is coming up, and we still haven’t put up a Christmas tree, I intend to have that done by the end of the week.  I also intend to bake some cookies with my mom, and get back to some old traditions.  Essentially, goal 41 is to bring some Christmas spirit and joy to this house.  (And some delicious treats. Nom.)

Goal 40 (!)

This is my last week of classes before finals, so the goal this week is to finish up all my papers and projects—even the couple not due until next week.  That will leave me more time next week to study for my last final and get more into the Christmas spirit.  I’m also finishing up a couple more job applications for next semester, so I plan to have those done by the end of the week, too.

Also, all my cards are finished and should be on their way to their destinations! (:

Goal 39

Woosh, getting late on my goals with the craziness that comes with final papers and projects (I should really make “no excuses” a goal sometime, but anyway).  It’s Wednesday.  It’s a new week.  It’s time for another goal.  This past week I didn’t end up making the Christmas Cards, yet, but I got most of the cleaning done that I wanted.  (When’s the last time you scrubbed the top of your refrigerator?  Yeah, that’s what I thought!)  This week’s goal, however, is to start getting ready for Christmas.  My mom’s been resistant to anything related to Christmas during the month of November, this year, but tomorrow is December 1st.  Tomorrow begins the decorating.  Nothing full-blown, but my goal is to get my Christmas Cards done this weekend, and get out some of the smaller decorations, pre-tree.

Another rainy Tuesday,

and time for another goal.  Thanksgiving break is a nice reprieve from classes, and a needed chance to catch up on final projects and final papers.  I’ve also signed up for a Christmas Card exchange through tumblr (which I’m super excited for, have I mentioned??), and I want to get other Christmas things done early, so I can have more time to just relax closer to Christmas.  So this week’s goal (goal 38) is to get started on the extra things.  When I’m taking breaks from between papers and projects, I want to start working on making my cards for the exchange, and doing extra little clean-up projects, so that later this month I’ll have more time for reading and relaxing (and packing for next semester!).  As far as my goal from a couple weeks back, my apartment searching has officially been sorted out.  I just need to hear from the landlady again, and I should be good to go!
